Hi there!

Tech. Culture. Noise. is the personal blog of Toby Nieboer, a talent acquisition professional, developer, technology enthusiast, coffee lover and dad, originally from Melbourne, Australia. The title and the URL come from my long-standing internet handle, which in turn comes from my initials and the greatest goaltender of all time.

On here you’ll find blog posts, links, photos, and social-media style updates. Content is cross-posted to Mastodon and Bluesky automatically, in accordance with the POSSE (Post on Own Site, Syndicate Elsewhere) principle.

This site was built in Astro with the help of Claude Code, and was inspired by kottke.org and Gina Trapani’s blog Note to Self.

My pronouns are he/him and I currently live in Melbourne with my wife, kids, and cat, and at the moment I lead recruitment for Ferocia. I became a developer in 2007, made the shift to technical recruitment in 2016, and have never looked back. I love helping people achieve their goals and dreams, and I take pride in building great teams.
